SciGene Introduces New aCGH Training Course
October 06, 2009 — SciGene today announced a new three-day comprehensive laboratory course for performing microarray-based cytogenetic tests called “Mastering the aCGH Workflow”. Participants learn how to prepare high quality fluorescently labeled gDNA then set up, hybridize and wash microarrays ready for analysis. Classes begin Nov 3 & Dec 1, 2009 and Jan 5, 2010.
 
   
Oxford Gene Technology to Distribute SciGene Microarray Products in Europe
September 01, 2009 — Oxford Gene Technology (OGT) and SciGene announced today at the annual meeting of the British Society for Human Genetics (BSHG), an agreement for OGT to supply SciGene’s lines of microarray sample processing equipment to cytogenetics and research laboratories throughout the European Union, excluding Germany.
 
   
New Workspace Protects Microarrays from Harmful Ozone
May 01, 2009 — SciGene today announced the introduction of the NoZone® WS Workspace, a new benchtop system for maintaining an ozone-safe environment when operating microarray scanning and processing equipment. The workspace consists of a benchtop polycarbonate enclosure with an external high efficiency ozone filtration system that achieves and maintains ozone levels below 5 ppb within minutes.
 
   
SciGene Signs Reagent Supply Agreement with Life Technologies
March 19, 2009 — SciGene announced today that it has entered into an agreement whereby Invitrogen, a division of Life Technologies, will supply SciGene reagents used in its BioPrime® Total Genomic Labeling System. SciGene will incorporate the reagents into a kit for use on the ArrayPrep® Target Preparation System, a new instrument developed by SciGene that automates labeling, purification and loading of DNA samples onto microarrays for performing aCGH tests.
 
   
Automated System for aCGH Testing Introduced at Annual ASHG Meeting
