The Hybex Microarray Incubation System [Cat. #1057-36-1 (115V); 1057-36-2 (230V)] simplifies microarray incubation and processing to reduce costly errors and enhance the reproducibility of results. The system includes a Hybex Microsample Incubator and accessories for hybridizing up to 16 microarrays at a time. Eliminates Cassettes and WaterbathsThe Hybex Microarray Incubation System replaces multiple, clumsy cassettes with humidified chambers. Instead of plunging hands repeatedly into hot water to place and remove cassettes, Hybex chambers are simply inserted into a small heating unit. The system includes two chambers, four slide racks, handles and tools. Eliminates Handling Arrays When Washing and DryingManually transferring arrays from waterbath cassettes into racks takes time and creates opportunities to damage samples. With the Hybex® Incubator, slides remain in the incubation racks when performing coverslip removal, washing and drying. Arrays are not touched post-hybridization. Integrates with the Little Dipper® Microarray ProcessorFor a complete array processing solution, Hybex slide racks can be seamlessly transferred to the Little Dipper Microarray Processor for automatic washing and drying. This robotic instrument moves and agitates Hybex racks containing eight arrays through five temperature controlled baths into an integrated centrifuge for drying. The Little Dipper® Processor eliminates process variability between operators that use a patchwork of dishes, hotplates and thermometers to wash arrays. For best results, use within a NoZone WS Workspace to eliminate day-to-day assay variability caused by high ozone levels. Simple Calibration for Accurate TemperaturesThe Hybex Microsample Incubator has a built-in system that simplifies temperature calibration. Just plug in the optional NIST-certified digital thermometer [Cat. #1051-52-0] into the back of the unit and adjust the digital read-out on the controller. Perfect for CLIA regulated laboratories that require regularly scheduled instrument calibration. Small and Portable—Ideal for Cramped LaboratoriesThe remarkably flexible Hybex heating unit (use it as a tube/plate heater, waterbath or microarray incubator) is provided in a package the size of a shoe box, weighing about 5 pounds and can be easily moved from place to place for sharing or for storage between uses. |
The Hybex Microsample Incubator [heating base, Cat. #1057-30-0 (115V); 1057-30-2 (230V)] is a small, benchtop incubator with a heated lid to reduce cap condensation. The Hybex® Incubator is a cost-effective substitute for a thermal cycler when performing everyday enzyme incubations. Controls Heating of Tubes/PCR Plates to ± 0.2°CThe Hybex® Microsample Incubator is a unique tube/plate heating system that combines a high performance block heater with a heated lid to give unsurpassed temperature regulation of samples while minimizing cap condensation. Just insert the block for your tube/plate type, close the lid and set the desired temperature up to 99°C. Within a few minutes the system reaches and maintains the set temperature to within 0.2°C. The Hybex Incubator is a cost effective substitute for a thermal cycler when performing everday isothermal enzyme incubations. Use with Commonly Used Tubes and PCR PlatesChoose from three removable blocks for:
Wash Microarrays Using a Waterbath InsertA unique capability of the Hybex Incubator is the precise heating of buffers using a durable, waterproof insert. The system is a superior alternative to glass dishes and stir plates for performing elevated temperature washing of microarrays.
Hybridize Microarrays in Humidified ChambersThe Hybex heating unit accommodates two specially designed chambers that each hold two, 4x slide racks. After incubating the slides, the racks clip together using a detachable handle for post-hybridization washing.
