Hybex® Microsample Incubator

Perform Enzyme Incubations Without Cap Condensation

Hybex Microsample Incubator
Heated Lid Maintains Sample Composition

Typical tube block heaters leave caps exposed resulting in condensation that changes the ionic conditions of the sample. The Hybex Microsample Incubator [heating base, Cat. #1057-30-0 (115V); 1057-30-2 (220V)] has a lid that heats tube caps creating an isothermal environment that eliminates condensation. The Hybex Incubator is a cost-effective substitute for a thermal cycler when performing everyday enzyme incubations.

Removable Blocks for Tubes and PCR Plates
The Hybex Microsample Incubator is used with three interchangeable, removable heat blocks. Blocks are easily inserted and removed using the screw-in handles provided.

  1. 96 x 0.2 ml PCR tubes or single PCR plate [Cat. #1057-31-0]
  2. 60 x 0.6 ml tubes [Cat. #1057-33-0]
  3. 32 x 1.5 ml tubes [Cat. #1057-34-0]

Heat Liquids with a Waterbath Insert
In place of heating solutions in dishes on hot plates, the Hybex system can be used to heat water or buffer using a durable, waterproof insert [Cat. #1057-35-0]. Ideal for washing racks of microarrays or for slides used in FISH/ISH. The waterbath insert is easily removed for cleaning.

Incubate Arrays in Humidified Chambers
Replace clumsy cassettes with humidified chambers designed especially for incubating microarrays with the Hybex Incubator. The Hybex Microarray Chamber Kit [Cat. #1057-38-0] includes two chambers, four 4-slide racks, two handles and assembly tools for incubating up to 16 arrays simultaneously.

Small and Portable—Ideal for Cramped Laboratories
The remarkably flexible Hybex heating unit (use it as a tube/plate heater, waterbath or microarray incubator) is provided in a package the size of a shoe box, weighing about five pounds. With benchspace at a premium, the Hybex unit takes up little room and can be easily moved from place to place for sharing or for storage between uses.
