96 and 48 Well Reactor Blocks for Varying Scale SynthesisA central challenge in providing a useful system for performing parallel chemical synthesis is designing a multiple reaction vessel that can be effectively sealed and can withstand the harsh conditions normally used. FlexChem® Reactor Blocks are heavy-duty polypropylene multi-chamber blocks with design features that make them ideally suited for chemistry applications. A molded ring around the opening of each chamber ensures a leak-free seal is formed when pressed against gasket material. Synthesis chambers also have rounded corners to prevent solvent “creep” that occurs in standard deep well blocks. A porous polyethylene frit, press fit into the bottom of each chamber, retains resin and prevents “wicking” between adjacent wells. FlexChem® Reactor Blocks are available in 96 well (2.4ml/well) and 48 well (5.6 ml/well) formats with a choice of fine or medium porosity frits. Reusable reactor blocks made from Teflon are also available for the ultimate in chemical resistance. Formerly sold by Robbins Scientific. |
