FlexChem Teflon® Reactor Blocks
96 and 48 Well Blocks Designed for High Temperature Chemistries
FlexChem Teflon Reactor Blocks fabricated from pure Teflon are available in both 96 and 48 well formats. They come ready to use with replaceable Teflon frits (30 micron pores) inserted into the bottom of each well. The 96 well block has a well volume of 1.9ml, while the 48 well block has a well volume of 4.75ml for larger-scale synthesis. Chemistries that require temperatures above 100°C or are incompatible with polypropylene can now be conducted with confidence.
Reusable with Simple-To-Use Tools for Replacing Frits
FlexChem Teflon Reactor Blocks are designed to be reused after cleaning and replacement of the Teflon frits. The procedure for removing and replacing frits takes only a few minutes using simple-to-use tools ordered separately (See Frit Replacement Guide).
Compatible with all FlexChem Systems
FlexChem Teflon Reactor Blocks are compatible with all existing FlexChem products. Sealing of the blocks uses the same independently removable covers (clamp and hex-bolt style systems available) with replaceable sealing gaskets developed for molded polypropylene reactor blocks. Removal of solvents and collection of cleavage products can be performed using FlexChem Vacuum Manifolds.
Heating and agitation of up to four sealed reactor blocks can be performed using the FlexChem Model 404 Rotating Oven or the FlexChem Model 202 Ambient Rotator. Existing users of the FlexChem system can take advantage of the additional capabilities of the Teflon reactor blocks without additional cost for new equipment. New users of the FlexChem system will find the modular basis of the system attractive since additional capacity and automation can be added as required.
