Select a Rotator for your ApplicationTwo interchangeable rotators are available. When equipped with the FlexChem® Reactor Block Rotator, the oven [Cat.# 1052-20-1 (115V); 1052-20-2 (230V)] can accommodate up to four sealed FlexChem® polypropylene or Teflon reactor blocks for controlled agitation and heating. The Model 404 can also be configured with a General Purpose Rotator [Cat.# 1052-22-1 (115V); 1052-22-2 (230V)] for rotating nearly any type of flask, vial, tube or deep well block. Consisting of two opposed rectangular surfaces of hard anodized aluminum, each sheet has numerous attachment points for clamps or springs for holding the desired containers. Five different sizes of spring clamps are available for holding cylinders up to 1.25 inches in diameter. Springs that can be attached to the platform in nearly any pattern for securing flasks or other irregularly shaped containers are also available in four lengths from 1.5 to 7.5 inches. An optional loading stand [Cat. #1052-24-0] is available for holding the General Purpose Rotator in a locked horizontal position when loading containers onto each side. After loading, the rotator is lifted from the stand and placed into the Model 404 Rotating Oven. Formerly sold by Robbins Scientific. |

The FlexChem® Model 404 Rotating Oven is a simple-to-use, benchtop unit for agitating and heating flasks, tubes and deep well plates, as well as FlexChem® polypropylene and Teflon reactor blocks. The unit provides controlled end-over-end agitation by selecting the rotation speed of the removable rotators from 2 to 30 RPM. Safe and reliable rubber-sealed resistance heaters surround the outside of the chamber providing a uniform inside temperature from ambient +5 to 99°C. Designed for safe use in chemistry laboratories, the oven fits inside a standard fume hood with all instrument control functions provided from an external module that connects to the oven by a cable. This design, along with the use of a brushless motor for rotating the platform, insures that no sources of electrical ignition are near the chamber. A port with shut-off valve located on opposite sides of the unit permits the flow of air or inert gas through the chamber. A double-paned, sealed glass door allows the user to observe the operation of the unit while maintaining a controlled environment to the chamber. |
