Solutions for Vysis® Probes for FISH

Solutions for Vysis Probes
Overview
The manual protocol recommended by Vysis for Day2/post-hybridization processing of FISH slides incorporates a tricky 73° C wash that must be maintained for a very specific time to ensure that optimum signal levels are achieved. It is a cumbersome procedure typically using Coplin jars in a waterbath with a thermometer inserted. The procedure is also limited to processing just a few slides per batch so that the target temperature is maintained. The Little Dipper® Processor automates Day 2 / post-hybridization processing of FISH probes from Vysis or other suppliers and overcomes the batch size and technical limitations of manual methods.

Technology

The Little Dipper® Processor automates Day 2, post-hybridization processing of up to 24 FISH slides per batch. It provides true walk away automation of all wash steps and precisely controls critical buffer temperatures following optimized protocols for Vysis and other probes. The system eliminates messy Coplin jars, waterbaths and staining dishes, frees up valuable technician time and generates slides with lower backgrounds and brighter signals for more confident, clearer interpretations. The Little Dipper® Processor can also be used for Day 1, pre-hybridization processing of FISH slides.
