SciGene Introduces Waterbath Incubation System
Incubator Easily Converts to Waterbath for Heating Solutions or Washing Arrays
May 17, 2006, Sunnyvale, CA — SciGene today announced the release of a Waterbath Insert for the Hybex Incubator which eliminates the need for hot plates or water baths to heat water or buffer solutions.
The Waterbath Insert is ideal for washing DNA microarrays or for slides used in FISH/ISH. It is uniquely designed for performing cover slip removal from arrays post-hybridization using the special racks provided as part of the Hybex Microarray Incubation System. The Waterbath Insert with heating base is also specified by Illumina for washing Illumina Sentrix arrays.
The Waterbath Insert for the Hybex Incubation System has a working volume of 500 ml. It is easily removable; freeing up the heating base for use with tube heat blocks and microarray incubation chambers. The complete system is the size of a shoe box and weighs less than ten pounds.About SciGene
