Overview |
||||
Microarray based assays for gene expression require complicated, multi-step RNA amplification and labeling methods and demanding hybridization / post-hybridization conditions with the goal of maximizing assay sensitivity. In addition, continuing changes in the format, content and cost of microarrays from the various suppliers leads laboratories to change array platforms and with it the workflow used to prepare samples and process arrays. SciGene instruments are open, “platform agnostic” in design to automate and simplify the complex manual steps used with microarray based assays of gene expression from sample preparation through slide processing that improve data quality and lower cost. |

TechnologySciGene’s family of instruments work together to automate the workflow used in gene expression assays from sample isolation, amplification and labeling through array hybridization and post-hybridization processing. SciGene instruments can be used with any slide based microarray including those from Agilent, Illumina, Roche NimbleGen and others. The ArrayPrep™ Target Preparation System is a reagent handling and incubation instrument specially designed for amplifying/labeling and then loading labeled targets onto microarrays. The Mai Tai® Hybridization System accommodates robotic sample loading and applies bubble mixing technology during incubation of multiple slides. The Little Dipper® Processor with NoZone® Workspace automates the washing and drying of microarrays in an ozone-safe environment presenting slides ready for scanning. |
